V.R Williams & Son was established in 1962 as installers of central heating, etc. In 1982 a trade counter was opened allowing sales of heating and plumbing materials to the trade and public. A significant expansion of the business took place in 1986 with the opening of the current warehouse premises in Maesycwmmer, allowing a greater quantity and variety of items to be held in stock.

In 1996 the central heating side of the business was closed altogether in order to concentrate solely on the sale of central heating requirements, bathrooms and accessories, fires and fire surrounds and general plumbing supplies.
